Volunteer for the Hospital Nacional De Niños in Costa Rica

Hospital Nacional de Niños is located in the heart of the capital city of San Jose. San Jose is located in the Central Valley, which is the home to 2/3 of the population of Costa Rica. It is the political, transportation, and entertainment centre. There are plenty of Art galleries, museums, th

eatres, restaurants and bars to visit. Although it is much more westernized than other Central American capitals, San Jose still has many sites to be enjoyed.The Hospital Nacional de Niños provides health care to sick children from all over Costa Rica. The hospital serves children from all over the country. This hospital requires volunteer because the hospital lacks personnel and welcomes all help available.

Volunteers must be of age 18 or above with minimum education of high school. Volunteers with the following special skills are preferred for the placement:-

 Nurse Medical Student Pre-Med Student Emergency Medical Technician Standard First-Aid Health & Hygiene Training HIV/AIDS Awareness Training Medical Administration Public Health Physiotherapy Child & Youth Worker Early Childhood Education At-Risk Youth Work Recreational Programming Social Worker (BSW) Social Work Student Day Care Work General Administration Educational Games Guitar

Volunteers can assist by doing following tasks:-

1. Helping in the Blood Donor Clinic 2. Folding clothes 3. Filing documents 4. Helping out in the game room 5. Serving Coffee 6. Interacting wth the patients
