Las Vegas Hotels And Casinos: All In One!

It is no secret that more and more often, travelers are opting for resort-like vacations. Falling in this category of vacations are cruises in which all are included and resorts in the Caribbean such as Sandals where everything is included. More and more often, Las Vegas hotels are falling into this new category of vacation. In the “gambling capital of the world,” there are many establishments that have always featured accommodations and casino entertainment under one roof. Frequently, the casino occupies the ground floor of the building and the upper stories are reserved for guest rooms. This format has been around for a while, but it recently has become more and more desirable for tourists.
A lot of tourists are looking for the total price tag for their vacation. Everyone knows that all the daily expenses while on vacation almost always end up adding up to more than you had calculated during your planning stages. Las Vegas hotels are not the cheapest in the U.S., and if you add the amount of money one frequently spends on gambling while there and the cost of food each day, you have already got yourself quite a pricey vacation.
The allure of the all-inclusive vacation is that you know exactly what the total cost will be before beginning the actual vacation. The total price of an all-inclusive vacation seems staggering at first. But if you compare with a vacation taken “à la carte,” when you add up all of the individual costs, it is usually the case that travelers end up spending more when they take these vacations instead of choosing an all-inclusive resort.
The allure of this newer type of vacation has not escaped the best Las Vegas hotels, and a lot of casino resorts are now offering vacation packages that include lodging costs, the costs of meals that are eaten within the resort complex, and, in some cases, gambling activities. Of course, travelers wishing to spend more than the pre-determined amount on gambling can simply use money from their own pockets to continue gambling once the set amount from their vacation package has run out.
Especially for travelers traveling with their spouses or with their families, the all-inclusive vacation is a great way to make sure that all the costs are covered, and, perhaps even more important, a great way to avoid fighting about money during the vacation. Many travelers do not consider the possibility of arguments while on vacation when they are planning their trip, but many families tend to disagree when it comes to how to spend their hard-earned dollars.
While Las Vegas hotels can take a fair portion of your family’s vacation budget, you can find affordable ones that provide the amenities you want, or splurge on those that provide your meals and entertainment during your stay. “trade to Travel” Poses Threat to Destination Clubs

“Trade to Travel” Poses Threat to Destination ClubsTrade to Travel, the original vacation home exchange, offers more luxury properties for far less money than Exclusive Resorts, the world’s largest destination club.
Richmond, VA – May 29, 2008 – Due to the current state of the U.S. economy, Leah Powell, president of Trade to Travel, has recently been contacted by both CBS News and CNBC’s “High Net Worth” to participate in stories on ways Americans can save money on travel and “House Swapping for The Rich.”  When preparing information for the two news organizations, Leah wrote a cost comparison which dramatically contrasts the costs of Trade to Travel to those of Destination Clubs (see below).  The comparison explains that not only does vacation home exchange save members large sums of money, it is also “green.”  So, via Trade to Travel, owners of fine properties (whether wholly owned or fractional ownership) save 80% on luxury travel worldwide and help save the planet at the same time.
Destination clubs have been “king of the mountain” in the luxury vacations industry for about a decade, but may soon be dethroned by Trade to Travel (TTT).
Here’s why:Trade to Travel vs. Destination ClubsExclusive Resorts’ membership fee for 60 days/year is $479,900.
Trade to Travel’s membership fee for unlimited days is $2495.
If you don’t currently own a vacation home, you can get into the luxury property exchange game by owning as little as 1/10 of a luxury property (it’s called “fractional ownership” and it’s currently the hottest trend in luxury real estate in the U.S.).  Last year, for the first time, luxury fractional sales exceeded whole ownership sales in Aspen.  Plus, fractional ownership and vacation property exchange are both “green,” so not only does TTT save its members enormous sums of money, it’s playing a role in saving the planet.  Trade to Travel says, “Let’s Share.”
Exclusive Resorts’ annual fee for 60 days is $59,900.
Trade to Travel’s annual fee for unlimited days is $99.
TTT charges 20% of the value of the accommodation each time we arrange for you to enjoy a fabulous property.
You save 80%.
Exclusive Resorts charges an extra $59,000 if you want a major holiday.
Trade to Travel charges NOTHING extra for holidays.
Exclusive Resorts charges $19,900 if you would like to let your adult children, parents, or siblings
enjoy a property without you or your spouse present.
Trade to Travel says, “Are you KIDDING???”
Trade to Travel has more properties in more countries valued between $1M and $20M than Exclusive Resorts.
The average value of Exclusive Resorts’ properties is $2.5M.  TTT currently has 25 properties valued at $4M – $20M.
TTT has been in business for 17 years and the combined value of its members’ properties is over $1 Billion.
Several years ago, Michael Espindle, Managing Editor of Elite Traveler magazine said, “Trade to Travel is the biggest news in the luxury travel industry since the advent of destination clubs.”  But it’s even better than that.  TTT wasn’t born after destination clubs, it was born before them.  Trade to Travel has been in business for nearly two decades and they know what they’re doing.   So, the only real question is, “Where to?”

How to Save Money When Booking a Vacation Through Your Travel Agency

With an uncertain economy and, for many, an uncertain future, some people are opting to put off vacations. Despite the potential problems on the horizon, that does not have to be the case. When you work with a travel agency, you can save a lot of money. Almost anyone can afford to travel if they follow these six tips when booking a vacation through a travel agency:

Tip #1: Be clear that you’re on a very tight budget.

If you want to save money when you vacation, your best bet is to tell your travel agent that from the start. There is little to be gained by hiding the fact that you want to travel on a shoestring budget. Furthermore, be really clear about what that budget is, since “inexpensive” to one person is not cheap to another. The clearer you are about your price range, the better. That way, your travel agent can put together a vacation package that you can afford, not work for a long time on something that doesn’t even come close to your budget.

Tip #2: Have flexible travel dates and times.

The more options you give your travel agent when it comes to your vacation dates, the better. Flights tend to change prices drastically over the weekend, so moving your vacation just two or three days could save you hundreds of dollars. Avoiding holidays is also good. When you’re flexible, your travel agent can also barter for hotel rooms, show tickets, and so forth with other companies in the travel industry. For example, if your travel agent knows that another agent is trying to fill rooms he or she bought in a chunk for a discounted price, you can get a better deal on one of those rooms. Give your travel agent a bit of wiggle room to negotiate. Likewise, if you are willing to travel at undesirable times, like in the early morning hours or overnight, you may be able to get a cheaper deal, at least on the transportation costs.

Tip #3: Ask for a cheaper version of your dream vacation.

During your initial meeting with your travel agent, have an open mind when it comes to destination. Talk about your dream vacation spot, but then hear out your agent on places that are similar but not as expensive. For example, say you want to visit Aspen for a gorgeous ski vacation. It might be less expensive (but just as fun) to go skiing at one of the resorts in Vermont. You might feel like your compromising too much, but think about your destination choices long and hard. If it is just the name holding you back, you might want to just let go and take a risk on the less expensive location. You might have just as much fun if you stay open-minded

Tip #4: Stay in the United States.

Work with a travel agent who books domestic trips so that you can stay in the United States. In most cases, you should save money on transportation since you will not have to travel as far. You may also be able to travel without documentation, as long as you have a picture ID. When you travel out of the country, you need a passport at the very least, and you may need a visa, certain vaccinations, or other travel documents as well. When you stay in the United States, you should also not have to worry about added cell phone expenses to make calls, losing money on the exchange rate, or paying top dollar to take your luggage with you.

Tip #5: Be willing to do some of the planning yourself.

The whole reason you use a travel agent is to avoid having to do the planning work yourself, but if you compromise on that a bit, you may be able to save money. Instead of working with a travel agent who plans every last detail, get someone that is a little less expensive and just book your flight and hotel through the agent. When it comes to the other stuff, like getting tickets to an event or making restaurant reservations, you can do the work yourself.

Tip #6: Organize a group tour.

A great way to save money on your vacation is to organize a tour through your travel agency. Group rates will apply, but more importantly, the person who organized the vacation typically gets to travel for free. The down side of that is that you have to commit to finding a certain number of people who will go on vacation with you, which can be hard. You are also responsible for them if they do not pay, and you have to, essentially, share you vacation. However, this is a great way to save money and make sure that you can still travel, even if you are on a budget.

Tips for Finding Cheap Flights from an Online Travel Agency

If you need to book a flight, working with an online travel agency might be the best way to find the lowest price. Agents often get better deals as a professional courtesy from airlines, and they may get even cheaper prices for booking a certain number of flights in a single month. As an added bonus, an online travel agent knows the industry secrets to finding inexpensive flights, so if you mention that you are on a tight budget, he or she can try to bring down the price as far as possible. Here are some great tips for finding the cheapest flights possible through your online travel agent:

Tip #1: Keep your dates and times of travel flexible.

Flight prices change from day to day, not just from season to season. If you want to find the cheapest flight possible, give your online travel agency options. In general, you will be able to find the least expensive flights on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with the most expensive flights on Saturdays and Sundays. Time also makes a difference. People generally want to fly during normal business hours. If you are willing to take and early morning flight, you could save money. Even better, if you fill a seat on a red eye flight (an overnight flight), you’ll save even more money. The more flexible you can be with your dates and times, the better.

Tip #2: Be willing to have layovers.

Layovers add hours onto your travel, but if you are willing to deal with them, you could save a lot of money. If you would be willing to fly out of a smaller airport, such as Newark on the East coast and Orange County on the West coast, you would likely have to have at least one layover, since each airline will only fly a very limited number of places.

Even if you are leaving from and going to major airports, if you are OK with layovers instead of a straight flight to your destination, you can find cheaper prices. Be carefully to plan at least an hour for each layover in case your flight is late or you need to navigate your way through a very large airport to another gate. Remember, most airports today have Internet access, and in many cases, it is free, so you can take your laptop and log online to pass the time between flights.

Tip #3: Stay open-minded about your destination.

One of the biggest ways to save money on your flight is to let your travel agent know that you and your family would consider alternative destinations. Sometimes, utilizing alternative destinations can be as simple and as easy as flying to a nearby airport and taking public transportation to your hotel.

You may want to consider changing your destination altogether. For example, if you are interested in a warm-weather retreat, why not fly to Florida instead of a Caribbean island? Or, if you want to vacation in the mountains, Aspen might be a less expensive choice than the French Alps. In general, keep your mind open about exactly where you would like to go. This might not always be an option, especially if you are flying for business reasons, but your online travel agent may be able to make recommendations for places that are just as beautiful but not as expensive.

Tip #4: Purchase an entire package from your agent.

Travel agents are not in business to book flights. They plan entire vacations, and by purchasing a complete package from them, you might be able to save money. If price is your main concern, do your homework first by researching hotel prices, flight costs, and other fees you’ll be paying to travel if you book the whole thing yourself. Then, ask an online travel agency to review your vacation needs and quote you a price for a package deal. Sometimes you are better off booking the vacation yourself, while other times, you could save money by going through the agent.

Tip #5: Start with a clear budget in mind.

Some common mistakes that you should avoid when working with an online travel agent is not giving him or her the dollar amount of what you hope to spend on the trip. You need to be honest from the start with your travel agent about what you can and cannot afford. Your travel agent may not look for the cheapest price for long because they think you’ll simply be happy with whatever price they find the quickest. If you do not have an unlimited amount of money to work with, make it very clear that you need to stick to a specific budget range. This way you and your travel agent can work together to find you a great vacation at a price you can afford.

Planning A Las Vegas Vacation

If you are planning a fabulous Las Vegas vacation, then you are not alone. Every day, tourists pour into the Las Vegas strip for gambling, entertainment and plenty of shopping. For the adventurous, there is also skydiving lessons for both indoor and outdoor learners.

When planning a Las Vegas vacation, you first matter at hand will be to set a budget. Hotels are expensive, especially if they are located on the Las Vegas strip. Additionally, the best accommodations book up fast, so make your reservations early. Some are fully booked for up to one year in advance, so log on to your favorite hotel’s website or call and inquire about making a reservation.

Once your travel date and accommodations have been decided, you will want to choose a mode of transportation. If you plan to drive, you will either want to make arrangements for a rental car or have your automobile checked out by a local mechanic to ensure it is safe for the road trip. Many people overlook this step, but it is very important if you plan to drive. If you are planning to arrange for air or rail travel, make your reservations early to ensure that you will have a seat. You can use your cell phone on trains to make sure your transportation is waiting for you upon arrival, including either a rental car or chauffeur. If your train is running late, keeping your chauffeur updated may be the difference in additional fees or the normal rate. Air travel is different, however, as cell phones are not permitted to be used on airplanes. If you know that your flight is delayed, try calling ahead from the airport to confirm transportation before you arrive in Las Vegas.

If lady luck is your calling, a Las Vegas vacation is just the ticket. Casinos are open 24/7 and feature a variety of games, including both table and slot machines. If you would like to attend a show while on your Las Vegas vacation, order your tickets in advance. You can either pick them up at the ticket office on the day of the show or have them mailed to your home if there is enough time for them to arrive prior to your departure date.

For the daredevil, there are indoor and outdoor skydiving lessons to be enjoyed on your Las Vegas vacation. An indoor lesson includes a brief training session, which is followed by a wind tunnel experience. After gearing up in the proper skydiving suit, goggles, helmet, ear plugs, gloves and shoes, individuals are placed inside of a wind tunnel where they will face computer generated winds of up to 120mph. As the student is lifted 6-12 feet into the air, the winds give them the feeling of an authentic skydiving experience. Indoor skydiving lessons are ideal for anyone on a Las Vegas vacation who wants to try skydiving, but who has a fear of heights.

If you are planning a Las Vegas vacation as part of your wedding and/or honeymoon experience, you will be pleasantly greeted by an array of chapels and special rates for newlyweds. Additional information is available by calling the Las Vegas Visitor’s Center or Chamber of Commerce. Whatever your reason for planning a Las Vegas vacation, this is one city that will not disappoint.
